Chris and Bob Pacquin welcome you to The Big Scoop Ice Cream Store and More!
Many people remember The Big Scoop when it was on Hwy. 20 just outside of Fonthill - in a little gazebo in the parking lot of Beamer's Market. When the market closed, The Big Scoop relocated to a small building at the corner of Pine & Sullivan in Thorold.
The Big Scoop serves dozens of flavours of Stoney Creek Ice Cream - as well as milkshakes, sundaes, homemade burgers and fries, pizza and more!
We also have tons of candy - including many rare finds you won't see at your local convenience store.

A Bite of History
The Big Scoop was started in 1993 by Robert Maher so his daughters would have a place to work and earn money towards their schooling. Chris and Bob purchased the business and ran The Big Scooop for 4 summers until Beamer's Market closed.
People used to stand and chat while they ate their ice cream, reminiscing how they loved coming to The Big Scoop when they were younger.
The Big Scoop moved to Thorold in October 2005 at the corner of Pine and Sullivan into a building which was once known as "The Hungry Bear", then moved across the street a year or so later to Greg's TV building.
Chris and Bob are hoping to have many more years enjoying serving their new and repeat customers - and continuing to make many good memories.
